Refunds and Returns
We’ll be happy to provide a full refund to the same method of payment used in the original transaction, providing it complies with these criteria:
- You have proof of purchase such as a receipt or delivery note.
- It is within 30 days of purchase.
- The product is unopened, unused and in their original condition.
Tinted Paint
If there is one fact about purchasing tinted/mixed paint, it is this:
Tinted paint cannot be returned to the store.
LUMO display signs to this effect near the paint mixing counter. Mixed paint is so unique that it is almost impossible for paint retailers to resell it.
Trade account returns/exchanges
If you’re a LUMO Paints account customer and presenting goods for return or exchange, a copy of the original invoice must be presented in-store along with the goods to arrange an account credit.
Commercial quantities are not generally available for change of mind returns or exchanges.
Delivery Information
Customers are responsible for the details they enter for delivery.
- Orders are subject to availability.
- LUMO aim to ensure stock is regularly replenished and updated.
Any delays to delivery of stock will be advised.

Online Retail Terms and Conditions of Sale (Terms of Sale)
LUMO Paints is pleased to offer you the opportunity to buy and receive Proucts from LUMO Paints through the Website on the basis of the following terms:
- Orders
- For each Product listed in your Checkout Summary, your order is an offer from you to LUMO Paints to buy that Product from us. A contract for the supply of the Product from us to you will be formed when your payment has been processed and we have sent you an email order confirmation.
- On the purchase of Products from us, you enter into a contract with us under these Terms of Sale in respect of those Products purchased.
- We are responsible for dispatching the Products to you under these Terms of Sale.
- All accepted orders of Products supersede all previous quotes/estimates that may have been provided to you.
- We reserve the right to limit the quantity of Products purchased by you
2. Image Limitations
Due to photographic and screen limitations associated with the representation of Products, some actual Products may differ to a small extent in visual appearance (for example in colour) from the way they appear on the Website.
- Pricing and payment
- You must pay for all online purchases at the time of online checkout prior to order confirmation in accordance with one of the payment methods offered on the Website. Where we cannot fulfil an order, a refund will be provided.
- The prices of Products, and any delivery or other charges, shown are in Australian dollars, inclusive of GST.
- Delivery
Where a Product is being delivered, delivery options are listed on our Website. The option selected by you and the applicable estimated delivery times will be shown in your Checkout Summary. We will use reasonable endeavours to deliver Products within the time frame shown
You will be notified via email once your Products have been dispatched.
We are unable to accept liability for delay in delivering Products which are beyond our reasonable control. If the Product has not been delivered within a reasonable time (depending on the nature of the Product and the delivery address), please contact us if you wish to cancel your order for that Product and request a refund.
You must ensure there is clear and safe access for delivery. You must ensure there is a person present at the delivery premises who is authorised by you to accept delivery. If there is not, we will endeavour to deliver the Product if safe and appropriate to do so. If the delivery contractor arrives at the agreed time but is unable to deliver the Product or considers that it is unsafe or inappropriate to do so, you may be required to pay for re-delivery later, or we may cancel your order and provide you with a refund, excluding the cost of delivery.
Some Products may require extra delivery personnel which will incur an additional charge as advised to you before you submit your order
- Click & Collect
Depending on your location, it may be an option to collect the Products in a LUMO Paint store.
If Products are being collected, please collect them within:
- 10 days (for special orders or custom-made products); or
- 4 days (for all other Products), after LUMO Paint informs you that they are ready for collection.
If you do not pick up your Products within the applicable time period specified above, then unless you make arrangements with us for late collection, LUMO Paint will assume you have cancelled your order. This means LUMO Paint may refund you the amount that you paid for the Product (excluding any delivery fee) and re-sell the Product. You may also be required to pay a reasonable re-stocking fee or, in the case of specially ordered or custom-made product, forfeit any deposit or payment you have made if LUMO Paint cannot return the product to the supplier and reasonably considers that it will be unable to sell the specially ordered or custom-made Product to another purchaser within a reasonable time after you are deemed to have cancelled your order.
You will need to show proof of ID to verify your identity upon collection.
- Risk of loss or damage to Products purchased by you shall pass to you:
- if the Product is delivered to you, upon delivery of the Product; or
- if you selected Click & Collect, upon collection of the Product.
- Warranties and liability
Products may contain warranty documents on or inside the packaging provided by the manufacturer or distributor of the Product. Unless clearly expressed otherwise, any such warranty is not given by LUMO Paints.
All Products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement for or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
All other warranties are excluded, except those which are non-excludable in law, including the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to the Australian Consumer Law, where Products supplied are not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic and household use, LUMO Paint liability to you is limited to refunding the price, replacing or repairing the relevant Products (at LUMO Paints’ option).
To assist LUMO Paints in resolving any problems you may experience, please inspect the Product upon taking delivery and report any shortage, discrepancy, defect, wrong specification or similar problem to us as soon as you become aware of it.
- Order Cancellation
LUMO Paints may cancel any order (in full or part) where:
- we reasonably suspect that you are purchasing the Product/s for the purposes of resale or resupply (other than where you are a builder or tradesperson and you are resupplying the goods to your customers in the course of that trade);
- we become aware after order confirmation that the product/s is out of stock;
- there has been a genuine pricing or Product description error; or
- where the transaction is suspected of being the subject of credit card or payment-related fraud, or any other criminal activity. We will refund any amount already paid in respect of any cancelled order. In the case of part cancellation of an order, a refund will be provided on the amount paid that relates to the cancelled portion of the order.
- Privacy
LUMO Paints collects your personal information to allow us to supply you with Products and services.
- Dispute resolution
If you have a complaint, dispute or any other feedback relating to a Product purchased from LUMO Paints, you may submit your complaint to info@lumopaints.com.au and we will investigate and respond to your complaint.
- Third Party Service
Where you arrange and book for any third-party services through the Website, you contract separately with that third party. LUMO Paints will not be liable for any services provided by a third-party
